Just a quick update. It seems as if Lee County (including Cape Coral) will not be hit by the center of the hurricane. However, we will have to deal with storm surge and we only can hope that the surge will just be a few feet high. There is nothing we can do right now, just wait and see. We did everything we could to prepare the Seabim vacation homes. Hopefully all the work was worth it and the damages to the homes will be small.
Landfall is expected late evening Wednesday or during the night from Wednesday to Thursday. Please see the latest forecast.
Power outages: There are already about 8000 power outages in SW Florida.
Water levels already rose 1-2 feet.
As soon as we receive information from our team in Florida, we will share it on the Seabim channels. We do not expect any information before late in the day on Thursday or maybe even not before Friday.
As soon as possible our team will visit the Seabim vacation homes to do a quick check. Please be patient with us.
